I invited the Rotary Club of the Breederiver Winelands to come and visit the Bonniepeople project. We also served lunch and Kholeka made a very nice dish of Umgushu.

In the big Wendyhouse guests and visitors had time to look at the projects that the children did in the school holiday.
The children came up with the name of Hopeville - and now they want to call the squatter camp - Hope Valley.I did not know that the Rotarians planned to present me with a Paul Harris Fellowship
Dear Rotarians
If you have asked me if I would like to receive a certifcate, a medal and a pin to be recognised as a "Paul Harris Fellow", I would have declined.
But you did it as a complete surprise, as Ronel said, on my "homeground" at Bonniepeople project.
It is sometimes very lonely working with people that see no future, escape in drugs and alcoholism and leave their children without any dreams.
At Bonniepeople our motto is "community work from the heart" and my heart is in this project.
This recognition I would like to share with many people who have their "hearts" in the Bonniepeople project.
Without the support of friendship and dedication of the people working for the Bonnievale Project in Luxembourg the Bonniepeople Project would not be.
And I know I can also count on the friendship and dedication of the Rotary Club of the Breede River Winelands.
Thank you very much.
